I’ve known Mary for almost six years and she has given me guidance and useful tools to change my life starting on day one. She saved me from myself and opened my eyes to healthier ways of thinking, living, making the best choices FOR ME, and she taught me how to be my authentic self. I had to be brave while she helped me on my path to being free, but all the hard work was worth it. I ask Mary all the time how I can repay her for altering my life in such a profound way and she simply says “share what you’ve learned with others”. So I do. As often as possible. I’m beyond grateful for Mary’s knowledge and guidance and for the journey with her that has altered my life! Now i have even more of her knowledge in book form. Great read!

I’ve known Mary Huhn for about 6 years, and I’ve heard her refer to what I will call a pervasive cultural malady experienced by many as ‘not being good enough.’ This deeply held personal belief of ‘not being good enough’ keeps all of us from becoming fully ourselves as God has intended and created. Walking along with Mary’s personal journey we can easily see the personal, interpersonal, and cultural barriers that have kept us from ‘being good enough.’ More importantly Mary gives us tools and skills to confront those beliefs and replace them with truths we can trust to experience our “Presence of Heart” – more and more of our authentic and real self. I’ve heard others who have read the book say ‘why didn’t I learn this stuff earlier in my life so that I could practice these tools in many different life situations. And, I am wondering if Mary will have a workbook to go along with her insight-gaining questions at the end of each chapter, and a version for professionals – not just counselors but other influentials like teachers, and partners.
